Automated Loading and Unloading

Loading System

 

Conveyor is motorized with high power motor. Conveyor is same height as block holding system on band saw. 3 blocks are loaded onto conveyor with forklift and the operator loads onto cutting surface with push of a single button.

 

Unloading System

 

The arm is equipped with a high accuracy distance sensor. Using the sensor and a high powered vacuum, the system grabs all 3 sheets at the same time using rubber cones. The rubber cones will not damage the sheets. Arm grabs the sheets and places it on the pallet. Using distance sensors the arm is able to pick up the sheets measuring up to 12 inches thick. Once the pallet is full the arm will indicate to the operator.
